Who Will Conduct Our Ceremony? Choosing an Officiant...

Your ceremony is the reason that all of your family and friends have gathered together in your honor.  Make the ritual - which formally acknowledges your new relationship status - meaningful, personal and unique.

Before choosing an officiant, have an idea in mind as to the type of ceremony you wish to have:
  • Religious
  • Non-denominational
  • Spiritual, but not religious
  • Secular and humanistic
We recommend choosing an officiant with references!  There are plenty of people who officiate weddings, but, how long have they been in business?  Do they have  access to previous couples who will speak on their behalf?  What kind of training do they have?  Are there any hidden costs?  A VERY IMPORTANT question is, are they conducting other ceremonies on your date?  How close are the other times?  Are they truly able to provide the care and presence you require if they are doing  2-3 ceremonies that day?  It's okay to ask questions and to interview several potential officiants.

Boy, do we have a recommendation for
you!
